How to Export and Reuse Labour Market Intelligence Data

Making the most of Export and Download options in hte Labour Market Intelligence Dataset

Updated yesterday

Overview

This article explains the different ways you can export labour market data from the platform, how export options depend on your subscription, and how exported data can be reused for analysis and reporting.

Exporting Data using the Download Button

The Download button allows users to export labour market data directly from the platform.

Note: the availability and behaviour of this button depend on your subscription licence:

  • Accounts with a full data download licence can download datasets in file format (for example, CSV or Excel), enabling deeper analysis outside the platform.

  • Accounts without a full data download licence will see the Download button disabled or limited. In this case, full dataset exports are not available.

If you believe your subscription should include full data downloads but the button is unavailable, please contact Support to confirm your licence.

Alternative Ways to Export Data

If a full data download is not available, there are still several ways to reuse insights from the platform:

  • Copy to clipboard: Many tables allow you to copy visible data directly to your clipboard, which can then be pasted into Excel, Google Sheets, or other tools.

  • Image export: Charts and visualisations can be exported or saved as images, making them suitable for presentations, reports, or internal documentation.

  • Manual selection: Filters and views can be adjusted to focus on specific occupations, regions, or time periods before copying or exporting visuals.

Using Exported Data for Analysis and Reporting

Exported labour market data can be reused in a variety of ways, including:

  • Performing additional analysis in spreadsheet or data-analysis tools

  • Creating custom charts or dashboards for internal reporting

  • Supporting workforce planning, market research, or strategic discussions

  • Including visuals or figures in presentations and written reports

When reusing exported data, ensure that the context (such as filters, time period, and geography) is clearly documented so results can be accurately interpreted.

If you have questions about export options or need help accessing the right format for your use case, please contact the QS Support team.
