The Global Student Flows dataset provides flexible options for downloading and exporting data based in certain reports. This article will guide you through the steps to locate, filter, and download data, as well as export visualisations from the platform.


1. Download Data in Bulk from the Heatmap Report

Access the Report

  • The Global Student Flows dataset will open displaying Flows Data & Reports.

  • Within the Analytics menu, select the Heatmap Report.


Selecting Data to View

  • Source and Destination Selection:
    Use filters to select the desired source and destination, according to your data license.

  • Time Period:
    Adjust the time period filter as needed.

  • Rows Display Options:

    • Rows can represent either:

      • Source City/ Location

      • Destination Location


Downloading Table Data

You have two options to export table data:

Copy all table data to clipboard and paste into programs like Excel


2. Exporting Data and Images from specific charts

Several charts across the dataset allow you to export their underlying data or save visualisations:

If you hover over the chart and an arrow appears in the top right corner of the widget, click on it to display all available options:

  • Copy Data to Clipboard:

  • Save as Image

  • Add to Dashboard

    Where to Find These Options:

  • Overview Report

  • Silhouette Reports (from the Charts menu)

  • Benchmark Report
