How do I Get an Overview of the World University Rankings

View and compare the World University Rankings by Index or highlighting your institution.

1. Open the "World University Ranking" Dataset

Navigate to the World University Ranking Dataset from the left-hand menu and select:


2. View the Index Report

The Dataset is defaulted to open in the Index Report which will display in the main content area on your page.

This default index report will display a top-down overview of all universities in the rankings. It is also specific to any pre-selected Benchmark Peer List and Benchmark Period you had been using.


3. Refining your Index Report: Toggles & Controls

You can further modify your Index Report by using the following toggles & controls:

  1. Benchmark Peers - changing between your Master Peer List, by Region, by Country, or by a QS List of Peers

  2. Benchmark Period - changing between 1, 3, 5, 10 years or Max

  3. Values - changing between Rank, Percentile and Score


4. Using the Highlights Report for World University Rankings

In addition to the Index Report, you can also view the data through the lens of a focused-institution - be that your own university, or one from your Master Peer List.

Click on the "Highlights" button on the Reports horizontal bar.


5. Changing Focused Institution of Highlights Report

To change which focused-institution you are viewing a Highlights Report for, simply change the focused-institution drop-down list:
