Before adding an institution to your Master Peer List, you should confirm that the institution has data available in the relevant rankings. This article will present two alternatives you can use to ensure you are adding valid and valuable peers.
Option 1: Confirm Institution Data Availability in the Index Report
Before adding, follow these steps:
Open the Index Report
Navigate to the Index Report in your Reputation or Rankings Dataset.
Use the Benchmark Peers Dropdown to filter
Filter institutions by region or country using the “Benchmark Peers” Dropdown for a targeted search.
Select an Institution
Click on any institution to view its information in the sidebar on the right side of your screen.
Add the Institution to Your Master Peer List Directly from the Index Report sidebar
Click the plus (+) sign next to “Peer Lists.”
Choose “Master Peer List” from the recent lists or dropdown menu.
Click Add to Peer List.
A notification will confirm that the item will be added and locked; you can still choose to cancel or confirm as needed.
Option 2: Use the Search Function
If you already know the institution’s name:
Search for Institution
Use the search bar from the menu and type the institution’s name.
From the results, select a ranking item (ensure it is a ranking item, not another unrelated entry).
Review Data
Verify that the institution displays data in the “Rankings Distribution” chart.
If there is no data, it means no data will available for this institution in the respective dataset.

Add via List Section
Once you checked the data for the institution, navigate to your Master Peer List in the Lists section in the menu and add the institution from there.
