Getting Started with Dropdowns

Dataset Dropdown

Located at the top of your interface, the Dataset dropdown allows you to choose from various Datasets available to you based on your subscription.

For instance, below we are currently selecting the World University Rankings:

Focus Institution Selector

Adjacent to the Dataset dropdown is the Focus Institution selection dropdown.

By default, it might show an Institution or Overview. You can easily change it by selecting a different institution (which stems from your Master Peer List).

Benchmark Peer Selector

You can use the Benchmark Peer dropdown to select your Benchmark Peers.

Options include: your Master Peer List, Custom Peer List, QS Lists, Regions, Sub-Regions, or Countries.

Benchmark Period Selector
Adjacent to the Benchmark Peer Selector is the Benchmark Period dropdown.

You can choose from the following options: the last year, three years, five years, ten years, or the maximum comparison period available.

Value Buttons (Rank, Percentile, Score)

Below is a brief summary of the meaning of each Value button, but more can be learned here:

Rank: Displays the institution’s rank position for the selected year.

Percentile: Indicates the institution’s percentile position within the selected comparison set, providing clearer relative insight.

Score: Presents the institution’s numeric score.

Group By (Rank, Change)

The Group By buttons allow you to change order or sort options available.

Use "Rank” to group results by rank bands (e.g., 1–100, 101–200) vs use “Change” to group results by the changes (increase/decrease change value)
