What are the different types of Lists I can create?

Here are examples of each of the Lists you can create on the HolonIQ platform, and how to utilize these Lists once created

Lists are collections of organizations, development or deals based on the users specifications. Building a List is the best way to keep track of specific markets, topics, or organizations/institutions. Here are a few examples of Lists that can be created, or have already been created on the platform for users to access:

Organization List

Organization Lists are best used to gather competitor intelligence, monitor a sales or investment portfolio, and/or identify new organizations for potential collaboration or partnerships. Here are a few examples you can create, or have already been created for you to access:

  • HolonIQ's 2024 EdTech 1000

  • University World Rankings

  • EdTech AI 300

Be sure to check out these resources on creating an Organization list, then using it to keep track of competitors or better understand a market landscape:

Development List

Development Lists are a great tool to create your own briefing, newsletter, or snapshot of the latest market activities. Users can go directly into the Developments Dataset or a particular market, topic page, or List to start putting these Lists together. Check out a few:

  • All Partnerships in the Post Secondary Education Market, only in North America

  • All Policy related activity for Universities in the United Kingdom

Deal List

Deal Lists allow users to gather the deal/funding history for a group of organizations, and/or specific market and region. Here are a few examples of the types of Deal Lists you might consider as you establish filters for a list:

  • EdTech Mega Rounds > $100M (excluding all debt)

  • Funding for HolonIQ EdTech 1000 (for any or all annual cohorts)

  • University Grant History over a fixed period of time, or in a specific region

Active vs. Static List

For any of the Lists above, users can also make the List Active or Static:

  • An Active List will add automatically any new developments, organizations, or deals

    • Let's say you created a list of target organizations based on region, funding stage, business model, etc. Any new organizations added to HolonIQ that fit the criteria or filter of the List, will automatically be added.

  • A Static List keeps a fixed view of any group of Organizations or Developments

    • This is more ideal for a steady list of competitors, or if users just want a snapshot of developments over a fixed period of time.
