How to use the Respondent Region dropdown and the Regions Reports from the Academic Reputation Dataset

Using the Respondent Region dropdown

The Respondent Region filter is available across all reports in the Academic Reputation Dataset

  • Locate the "Respondent Region" dropdown menu on the top right of the screen.

  • Filter your data by:

    • Region

    • Sub-region

    • Country

  • Further segmentation is available by Subject.


Exploring the Regions Reports on Nomination Origins

In the Regions Reports there are four main sub-reports available to analyse nomination origins:

1. Regional Tree Map Report

Provides a visual overview of which countries contribute the highest number of nominations.

  • Features:

    • Intuitive, color-coded visualization.

    • Easily segment by region, country, or subject.

    • Ability to copy data to clipboard, export as CSV, save the visualisation as an PNG, JPG or PDF.


2. Regional Columns Report

Compare your performance against selected lists of Benchmark Peers.

  • Features:

    • Your focus institution is indicated with a dot.

    • Ability to save the visualisation as an PNG, JPG or PDF.


3. World Map View

Geographic breakdown of nomination sources.

  • Features:

    • Zoom in for detailed views of nomination origins.

    • Filter by specific Subjects for granular analysis.


4. Globe View

Interactive visualization of nominations.

  • Features:

    • Drag the globe to explore different locations and examine nomination sources .
